What do I need to run EasyKeys?
- An iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26
- A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26
A MIDI keyboard makes it feel like your rig, but it's not required. You can play on the on-screen keys too.
How do I connect a MIDI keyboard?
Over USB: plug the keyboard in, with an adapter if you need one. EasyKeys finds it on its own.
Over Bluetooth on iPhone or iPad: in EasyKeys, open Settings → MIDI and tap Connect next to Bluetooth MIDI.
Over Bluetooth on a Mac: pair the keyboard in the Audio MIDI Setup app first (Window → Show MIDI Studio, then the Bluetooth button). EasyKeys picks it up after that.
A sustain pedal and a mod wheel work as soon as the keyboard is connected.
How do I import my own sounds?
Open Sounds, tap Import and pick the folder that holds your instrument. EasyKeys reads:
- SFZ, with its samples. Pick the folder that holds the .sfz file, not the file itself, on iPhone, iPad and Mac, so EasyKeys can reach every sample.
- SF2 files. On a Mac you can also pick the .sf2 file on its own.
- WAV samples in a folder.
If the folder holds more than one instrument, EasyKeys asks which one to import.
What's in the free Library?
The EasyKeys Library has pianos, pads, leads, arps and drones, ready to download for free. Open Sounds, pick a sound from the Library and it downloads in the background. Once it's on your device, it plays without the internet.
How does iCloud sync work?
If you're signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive turned on, your library and setlists follow you to your other iPhone, iPad and Mac on the same Apple Account. They live in your own iCloud Drive, so only you can see them.
If iCloud is full, your sounds stay on this device and upload by themselves once you free up space.
How do I send the click to my in-ears?
With an audio interface that has four or more outputs, open Settings → Routing. Send the click to outputs 3–4 for your in-ears, and keep your sounds on outputs 1–2 for the room. You can also send each sound to 1–2 or 3–4 on its own.
